Professional Background Ed Kinley is Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) for Indiana State University. He has worked in the field of Information Technology for over 30 years and has more than 25 years of IT management experience. Prior to coming to ISU, he was responsible for information technology at Eastern New Mexico University, Portales, NM and University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA. During his career he has worked in both the private and public sectors and has over 20 years of higher education experience. He has served as an adjunct faculty member for over 15 years, having taught at both the community college and university level. He has taught in a variety of environments including the traditional classroom, prison programs (Albion, Orleans, and Attica), interactive television, and has taught a variety of asynchronous online courses during the past 10 years. He holds a Bachelors degree in English and a Masters degree in Public Administration, both from the University of Notre Dame. He has completed graduate work in Business Administration at Indiana University - South Bend, and holds a PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln.
