Professional Background Dr. Devang P. Mehta is a Printing and Publishing program coordinator and associate professor in the Department of Graphic Communication Systems and Technological Studies, North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. He serves as an advisor of Printing and Publishing students’ organization, IGAEA-A&T. He received a B.S. degree from the University of Mumbai, India. He received M.A. and D.I.T. degrees from the University of Northern Iowa. In addition, he received a certificate in Graphic Arts from Iowa Lakes Community College. His areas of expertise are graphic communications technology and management. Dr. Mehta teaches design, printing technology, and graphic communications management courses. He has business, work, and teaching experiences in the field of graphic communications.
Research Interests Dr. Mehta's research interests include investigating and introducing new technologies to companies that potentially boost their performance. His dissertation was on "An Investigation to Measure the Performance of Commercial Printing Firms for Conduction Business-to-Customer Activities on the Web" and his thesis was on "Lithographers' Opinions About Waterless Lithography." Other interests include training to graphic arts professionals on design software, production equipment, and management strategies.
