Community Service

I raised $300,000 to build and open Harmony Haven, West Central Indiana’s first no-kill shelter for stray dogs and cats.  As President of the organization for five years and its co-founder, I formed a 250 member organization devoted to this effort, wrote newsletters, organized fund raising, performed public relations services, forged a good relationship with the local traditional shelter, and spoke before many community organizations and elementary schools about responsible pet care.

As a professed member of the Secular Franciscan Order (November 2008), I participate in serving meals at the Lighthouse Mission as well as doing other community service as needed.
