Components Of A Security Plan

 

Applicability

According to 49 CFR 172.800 and 172.804, shippers and carriers that transport the following infectious substances are required to develop and implement a security plan:

 

  • A select agent or toxin regulated by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention under 42 CFR Part 73; or

  • A select agent or toxin regulated by the United States Department of Agriculture under 9 CFR part 121 by April 1, 2007 .
