Sediment and Erosion Prevention
The facility’s SWPPP must identify activities that present a potential for significant soil erosion and measures taken to control the erosion. The activities and locations that are prone to erosion are construction activities, steep slopes, sandy soils, or soil without vegetations. Various BMPs such as vegetative swales, infiltration, retention, or detention structures, can be used for sediment and erosion control.
