Environmentalists Renew Suit Against FAA Over Mammoth Airport

Environmentalists and California’s attorney general both sued the Federal Aviation Administration on Tuesday, saying the agency failed to fully consider the environmental impacts of expanding an airport in Mammoth Lakes. The Sierra Club, the National Parks Conservation Association, California Trout and the Natural Resources Defense Council refiled a lawsuit in U.S. District Court in San Francisco to force the FAA to complete an environmental impact statement on the expansion.
