Consultant Outlines Airport Noise-Reduction Options

Consultants who studied airport noise at Pease International Tradeport recommend moving planes around, buying new power equipment or using buildings to shield neighbors from the sound. The consultants’ report found the noise is equivalent to a dishwasher running in the next room or a garbage disposal three feet away and said neighbors can hear it 24 hours a day.
